About

Associate Professor Bui Duc Hau has 39 years of experience studying and working in the field of general surgery. Graduated from Hanoi Medical University in 1983, Dr. Hau worked in the Department of Surgery, National Children’s Hospital. He was promoted to the position of Vice Dean, then Dean of the Faculty and has held this position for many years. He completed the BSc CKI, CKII course and completed his doctoral thesis at Hanoi Medical University in 2011; was recognized as an Associate Professor in 2015. He also spent time studying in some developed countries around the world on teaching methods, scientific research, and professional training in Pediatrics.

Besides professional fields, Assoc. Prof. Bui Duc Hau is also highly appreciated in management, teaching, and scientific research. As Deputy Department of Surgery for many years, he and his colleagues developed high techniques, especially laparoscopic surgery, organ transplantation, and successfully separated many conjoined twins. Assoc. Prof. Bui Duc Hau won the title of “Excellent Doctor” in 2010; Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister in 2005 and 2013; Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Health in 2009, 2011 and 2013; “Ministry-level emulation soldier” in 2011 and 2014, the title “People’s Doctor” in 2017.
