Doctor Nguyen Thanh Nam has 16 years of experience in the field of diagnostic imaging.

In 2010, Doctor Nam received a Master’s degree in Diagnostic Imaging at Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy. He also attended many intensive courses on Musculoskeletal Magnetic Resonance; Neurovascular intervention; Interventional Imaging, Breast, Gynecology, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Musculoskeletal, Neurological in Vietnam, Australia, Korea, Russia. In addition, he is also an active member of the Vietnam Association of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, the Association of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine of Thua Thien Hue, the Vietnam Association of Interventional Radiology, and the Vietnam Association of Ultrasound, as well as contributed nearly 20 scientific research works of high application.

With his contributions, Dr. Nam was honored to receive many valuable certificates of merit such as 2 Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Health; Certificates of Merit from Hue University, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnamese Embassy in Russia.

Currently, Doctor Nguyen Thanh Nam is a Radiologist – Department of Diagnostic Imaging – Vinmec Danang International Hospital.

  • Treatment interventional radiology: Vascular intervention for treatment of liver cancer (TACE, DEB-TACE). Neurovascular intervention to treat carotid artery disease, cerebral artery disease (bulging, narrowing), mechanical thrombectomy for acute stroke, intervention to treat arteriovenous malformations, dural arteriovenous catheterization, cavernous carotid artery shunt. Visceral vascular intervention for treatment of aneurysms, arterial stenosis, gastrointestinal bleeding, uterine fibroids, prostate fibroids. Extravascular intervention (biliary drainage, percutaneous biliary stents, percutaneous pyelonephritis, abscess drainage,…).

  • 2010: Participated in a university-level scientific research project “Study on the combined value of ultrasound and post-operative cholangiography through Kehr in patients with gallstones”.
  • 2010: Chaired the topic of the Master’s thesis of the College of Medicine “Research on the correlation between placental volume and fetal weight by two-dimensional ultrasound in normal fetuses from 16 weeks of age and older”.
