About

As a well-trained doctor in cardiology, with more than 15 years of experience, Dr. Duong Thu Anh graduated from Hanoi Medical University with high distinction. She has experienced working and studying in Vietnam and oversea leading cardiovascular hospitals.

Dr. Thu Anh was also a key lecturer at Hanoi Heart Hospital, the visiting lecturer at VinUniversity, and the principle investigator of scientific research projects in Vietnam and abroad and has won noble awards (SCTT Best Abstract Award Runner Up of 13th annual scientific meeting of the Society of cardiovascular computed tomography, Dallas, Texas, July 12-15, 2018). In addition, Dr. Thu Anh is also a collaborator of some health radio and television programs such as VTV3, VOV2, a speaker and an interpreter for some pharmaceutical companies.

With outstanding achievements including professional and administration, Dr. Thu Anh became the Director of the Heart Failure Management Program – the first qualified program accredited by American College of Cardiology (ACC) in Asia for the management and treatment of heart failure patients. More importantly, Dr. Thu Anh is currently Head of Cardiology Department, Cardiovascular Center, Vinmec Times City International Hospital.

Medical treatment of cardiovascular diseases and cardiovascular risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, coronary artery disease (stable coronary artery disease, before and after coronary artery stenting, after coronary artery bypass graft surgery…), stroke, heart failure, arrhythmias (atrial fibrillation, atrial premature beats, ventricular premature beats, sinus tachycardia, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, etc.), valvular heart diseases (mitral stenosis, mitral regurgitation, aortic stenosis, aortic regurgitation, after mechanical/biological valve replacement), cardiomyopathy (dilated cardiomyopathy, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, amyloid cardiomyopathy…), adult congenital heart disease (ventricular septal defect, atrial septal defect, patent ductus arteriosus, tetralogy of Fallot…), management of cardiovascular diseases in pregnant women (gestational hypertension, anticoagulant use in pregnant women…)

Performs adult echocardiography, congenital echocardiography, fetal echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography; analyzing and consulting the results of electrocardiogram, ambulatory electrocardiography monitoring, ambulatory monitoring blood pressure monitoring, SPECT MPI…
