The world’s leading medical accreditation organization – JCI has recently announced Vinmec Central Park Hospital’s JCI certification with a nearly perfect score.

Specifically, Vinmec’s scorecard indicated nearly 100% compliance of international medical standards and 9.96/10 rating in compliance with 1,271 criteria for treatment quality and patient safety. This is the second time the hospital has achieved this globally recognized prestigious JCI certificate.
During the re-evaluation at Vinmec Central Park – Ho Chi Minh City in the first quarter of 2021, the latest version 7 standards effective from January 1, 2021 was applied. This is the only version that integrates the International External Evaluation Association (IEEA) Standards approved last December.
According to experts, compared with the previous sets of standards, the 7th version of the standards has more stringent standards for important areas such as: laser safety, warning devices for high-risk patients, assessment of patient experience of service quality…
Although various new standards were added, the evaluation results of the appraisal team showed Vinmec’s scores nearly perfect in most of the criteria. The representative of the hospital shared that JCI experts highly appreciated the institution’s performance in in ensuring international criteria for comprehensive patient safety; minimizing infection risks; respecting and protecting the patients’ and their families’ rights to facilitate their treatment with peace of mind.
“Especially, the hospital fully meets the new set of standards as well as complies with optical radiation safety standards, and minimizes the risk of radiation contamination for employees and customers. All departments are using equipment advanced medical equipment with warning and alert function, helping to detect possible risks during the care and treatment process,” he said.

Regarding the service experience, the institution representative confirmed that 100% of the patients enjoy comprehensive care from different specialized departments (doctors, nurses, support staff) via team-based care model. “Not only ensuring service quality, this model also helps reduce antibiotic use, increase treatment efficiency, and save treatment costsand more for patients. In the prevention of COVID-19 as well as in terms global pandemic response, JCI experts also appreciate our hospital’s capacity in sustaining the quality and safety with international standard along with COVID-19 prevention”, the institution’s representative emphasized.
