Vinmec Healthcare System named “Best Managed Company in Vietnam” for 2022 – the first time a medical institution received this prestigious award in Vietnam

For almost three decades, the “Best Managed Companies” title has been a highly esteemed title awarded to exceptional private businesses globally, implemented in 48 countries.

Vinmec has been awarded the prestigious title of “Best Managed Company in Vietnam” for 2022, making it the only medical institution to receive this award.

In order to attain this sought-after title, companies must pass a rigorous evaluation of a Judging Panel, which assesses their performance in four key areas: Business strategy; Competitiveness and Innovation; Corporate Culture; and Corporate Governance and Finance. The process includes analysis of businesses’ corporate strategy and operations, in accordance with a specific assessment framework widely-applied in 1,200 Best Managed Companies worldwide.

Vinmec has become the first medical institution in the country to be honored, having passed this rigorous independent assessment process and meeting all four management criteria. With this title, Vinmec has officially become a member of a network of distinguished global enterprises, which presents a promising opportunity for the company to expand into new markets and pioneer in its field.

Ms. Le Thuy Anh – General Director of Vinmec Healthcare System – spoke at the ceremony.

Mr. Pham Dinh Huynh – Director of the Private Sector Division at Deloitte Vietnam – shared: “I was very impressed with Vinmec this award season, having witnessed their serious investment in an effective management system. The entire Vinmec team, from medical staff to executives, are collaborative, scientific, and methodical. By being selected as the Best Managed Company, Vinmec has demonstrated their capability and commitment to devising and executing a clear and sound business strategy, in order to achieve superior operational outcomes and pursue Vinmec’s academic medicine objectives.

Notaly, this marks the first time a private healthcare system is awarded this title in Vietnam. This is a milestone for hospital management, where Vinmec is a pioneering model that exemplifies dual-development and mutual support between an academic medicine system and an excellent management system.
